Sum of first n terms of GP for r not equal to 1 for JEE

Formula

\(S_n=\frac{a(r^n-1)}{r-1}=\frac{a(1-r^n)}{1-r}\)

Variables: \(S_n\): sum of first \(n\) terms, \(a\): first term, \(r\): common ratio.

Conditions: For a geometric progression, \(r\ne 1\).
